What types of accounts can I open?

Ainvest currently offers Cash and Margin accounts.

Cash – an account where securities are paid for in full with the available cash in your account.

• Disadvantage:

  • No borrowing funds

  • No shorting

Margin – an account where you can buy securities with borrowed funds.

• Advantage:
  • Increase/leverage purchasing power
  • More investing options such as short selling
• Disadvantage:
  • Subject to paying interest on borrowed funds
